Philip, I wanna to tell you a story. And like all good stories, it starts like this ...

I was the first person to hold her in my arms.

And I looked at her and said: "Lord, make her like her mother." And he did.

And she was so loving and giving and so good and so kind.

她是那么可爱，热心，又为人善良。

But then I realized I was getting left out.

So I said: "Lord, make her like me". And he did.

因此我说：“老天爷啊，让她也像我吧”。于是他照办了。

She could drive a truck and a tractor.

她会驾驶卡车和牵引车。

She could load hay and strip tobacco.

她可以堆牧草，也会嚼烟草。

Do you realize what you're getting?

你知道要娶到什么样的女孩了吧？

But at the same time she was opinionated, emotional and hard-headed.

但同时，她顽固，情绪化而且强悍。

So I said: "Lord, that's enough of that. Make her like YOU."

所以我说：“老天爷啊，够了。还是让她像您吧”

And he did.

于是他照办了。

He gave her the desire to serve people.

他使她渴望服务大众。

She loves people.

她爱他们。

She gave her life to become a nurse.

她致力于从事护士工作。

She's brought people back from the dead.

她曾把人从鬼门关给救回来。

And she's held the hand of people who have breathed the last of their breath.

她曾握著那些咽下下最后一口气的人们的手。

He gave her a heart of the missions she's trekked all over the world，

他给了她传道的勇气，而她曾艰苦跋涉了千山万水遍及世界，

Pushing canoes up the swollen rivers, lay on the floor as bullets whizzed outside.

推独木舟逆着涨水的河流而上、子弹呼啸在外时卧伏在地。

So she could tell people about Jesus.

如此而能够向人们传播耶稣的福音。

But still something was missing.

但仍然缺少某个东西，

So I said to Lord: "Make her happy."

所以我说：“老天爷啊，让她快乐吧。”

And she met you.

然后她遇见了你。

You see that look on her face?

你看到了她脸上的那表情吗？

Never saw that, until she met you.

直到她遇见了你我才见到那表情。

And I' grateful for that.

而我因此心怀感激。

Today, I'm giving you the best thing I have to give.

今天我要将我所拥有能够施予最棒的东西交给你。

And I just want you to know before I do that,

how hard me and God have worked hard to get her ready.
