Some airlines have first class, business class and economy class.

有些航空公司有头等舱 商务舱和经济舱

Economy class can also be called coach.

经济舱也可以用coach这个单词来表示

So you could say "I'm traveling coach".

你可以说 I'm traveling coach

That means you're traveling in economy class.

说明你坐的是经济舱

Some airlines only have business and economy.

有些飞机只有商务舱和经济舱

And there's actually lots of airlines that only have economy.

而实际上 许多飞机只有经济舱而已

Here in Canada, we have an airline called WestJet,

在加拿大 有一家西捷航空

we only have two airlines here in Canada.

在加拿大只有两家航空公司

One is Air Canada that has economy class and business class.

一个是加拿大航空 它有经济舱和商务舱

And WestJet only has economy class.

而西捷航空只有经济舱

This is called the in-flight entertainment system.

这个叫做机上娱乐系统

So you can watch movies or play games or look at the map.

你可以选择看电视 玩游戏或看地图

My favorite thing to do is to watch the map.

我最喜欢做的事情就是看地图

Just to see how far we are on the trip, how close we are to the destination.

就是想了解下我们现在飞了多远 离目的地还有多远

Okay this is called a seatbelt.

这个是安全带

So you need to fasten our seatbelt before the plane,

所以 你需要在飞机起飞之前就系好安全带

and all are sort of before takeoff.

坐什么交通工具 出发之前都是需要系好安全带的

During the flight, the flight attendant might say,

在飞行期间 空乘人员可能会说

Ladies and gentlemen, please remain seated with your seatbelts fastened,

we are going through a period of turbulence.

So what is turbulence?

Turbulence is when the plane shakes.

湍流 就是飞机摇晃

I don't like turbulence, do you like turbulence?

我不喜欢这样 你喜欢吗

So if you're going through turbulence, you need to stay seated with your seatbelts fastened,

所以 当你遇到飞机摇晃时 你应该坐好并系好安全带

And the pilot will turn on the seatbelt sign, the seatbelt light.

That one is no smoking.

那个是禁止吸烟的标志

You can't smoke on a plane.

Long time ago, you you used to be allowed to.

Like in the 1990s, I remember people with smoke on planes.

But you can't smoke on planes nowadays.

Somewhere near you probably on the armrest, they're going to be a few buttons.

你旁边的扶手上可能会有几个按钮

They might do these things like you can call the attendant.

你需要服务的时候 你就按下按钮

It might say call attendant button.

我们称之为服务按钮

You know if you need something, you need to call the flight attendant, you can push that button.

Or if you want to turn on the reading light above you or if you want to turn on the air vent,

Okay look at this,

these are the lights, and those are the air vents.

So if you're really hot, you know you might want to turn that,

sometimes planes are really cold.

Most of the time they're really cold, seating to bring a jacket,

but sometimes they're really hot, and so you need to then turn on the air vent,

so you can get some fresh air.

Okay this is the most important place on the plane.

It's called the cockpit,

because that's where the pilots sit and fly the plane in the cockpit.

Okay now this is an airsickness bag.

这是呕吐袋

But most people just call it a barf bag or a puke bag or a vomit bag.

但大多数人会将呕吐袋称作barf bag/puke bag/vomit bag

Okay all of these words mean the same thing.

这些表达都是呕吐袋的意思
