At 9:45 on April 7, the Ancestor Worship Ceremony in the year of Jihai was successfully held in Xinzheng, Zhengzhou, Henan. Chinese people from all over the world gathered in the Yellow Emperor's Hometown Scenic Area to worship the Chinese ancestor Yellow Emperor and pray for the prosperity of China and Chinese nation.

4月7日上午9点45分，河南郑州新郑市举行了己亥年黄帝故里拜祖大典，来自世界各地的炎黄子孙会聚黄帝故里，共同朝拜人文始祖轩辕黄帝，祈福民族昌盛、祖国繁荣。

Same with previous years, the ceremony was divided into 9 parts: firing gun salutes, offering flower baskets, washing hands and burning joss sticks, giving a salute, reading worship articles, singing odes, dancing, blessing for China and blessing for harmony between nature and mankind. Nearly 10,000 guests at home and abroad gathered in the hometown of the Yellow Emperor to pay homage to the Chinese ancestor Yellow Emperor.

沿承往年的九项仪程，大典共分盛世礼炮、敬献花篮、净手上香、行施拜礼、恭读拜文、高唱颂歌、乐舞敬拜、祈福中华、天地人和。近万名海内外嘉宾会聚黄帝故里，共同祭拜中华民族的人文始祖轩辕黄帝。

There was a saying in ancient times of China that the dragon looks up on lunar February 2 and Xuanyuan was born on lunar March 3. Since the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 B.C.), people began to worship Xuanyuan on lunar March 3 which is said to be the birthday of Yellow Emperor. It became official from Tang Dynasty.

中国自古有“二月二，龙抬头；三月三，生轩辕”的说法，自春秋时期民间就有三月三拜轩辕的活动，唐代后升格为官方祭典。

Since 2006, the Ancestor Worship Ceremony has been organized for 14 years in the Yellow Emperor's Hometown Scenic Area, Xinzheng. In 2008, the Ancestor Worship Ceremony in Yellow Emperor’s Native Place was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.

从2006年至今，郑州新郑黄帝故里拜祖大典已经连续举办了14年，2008年黄帝故里拜祖大典被列入国家级非物质文化遗产名录。

On the eve of the Ancestor Worship Ceremony, Chinese representatives from home and abroad gathered at the scene of the Ancestor Worship Ceremony in Yellow Emperor’s Native Place, and sang "My Motherland and I", "My Chinese Heart", and "I Love You China", expressing their worship for the Chinese ancestor Yellow Emperor and best wishes to the motherland by means of Flash Mob.

拜祖大典前夕，来自海内外的华人代表汇集新郑黄帝故里拜祖大典现场，高唱《我和我的祖国》《我的中国心》《我爱你中国》，用快闪这种特殊的方式表达对人文始祖黄帝的礼敬和对祖国的美好祝愿。

The Ancestor Worship Ceremony in Yellow Emperor’s Native Place is not only a cultural festival for Chinese at home and abroad, but also a platform for further cooperation and exchanges and greater development and win-win results between China and foreign countries. During the period of the ceremony, a series of economic and cultural activities, such as the 13th China (Henan) International Investment and Trade Fair, distinctive cultural experience tour, and cultural and creative product display, will also be held to share the business opportunities that Zhengzhou offers to all Chinese and foreign guests, thereby achieving a win-win development.

黄帝故里拜祖大典不仅是海内外华人的文化盛典，同时也是加强合作交流、促进发展共赢的平台。大典期间及前后举办的一系列经贸文化活动，如第十三届中国(河南)国际投资贸易洽谈会、特色文化体验游、文化创意产品展示等，让中外嘉宾分享到郑州大都市发展的商机，实现了共赢发展。
