考点一、relax 的用法

1. relax 不及物或及物动词，意为"（使）放松、轻松，（使）休闲、休息等"。词形变化：动词单三形式relaxes ；形容词 relaxing 和relaxed。

Why don't you relax for a while?

为什么不休息一会儿？ 。

She often listens to music and relaxes her mind.

她常听音乐使大脑得到放松。

2. relaxed 形容词 意为"感到轻松、放松、不受拘束的"，用来形容"某人"。 类似interested \ excited \ surprised \ bored \ tired的用法。

The song can make me relaxed. 这首歌能让我感到放松。

I felt relaxed after watching the game shows.在看完游戏节目之后，我感到很放松。

3. relaxing 形容词 意为"令人轻松的、愉悦的"，用来形容"某物 、 某事"，和 interesting \ exciting \ surprising \ boring \ tiring用法类似。

我度过了一个令人轻松的周末。

考点二、介词by的常考用法

1. 乘；用(某种交通工具)，此时by 后接表示交通工具的单数名词，且名词前不加任何修饰语。

You can go there by bus.

They plan to go to Shanghai by air.  

他们打算坐飞机去上海。

2.  在…旁；靠近· 

Mr. Zhang was reading by the window. 

张老师正在窗户旁边看书。

3. 被；由 (用于被动语态，表示动作的执行者)

4.用；靠；通过(方法、手段)
